S-Works Tarmac SL8 Shimano Di2

No bike is as fast as the Tarmac SL8 thanks to a combination of aerodynamics, light weight and ride quality previously thought impossible. After eight generations and more than two decades of development, it's not only the fastest Tarmac ever - it's the fastest road bike in the world. Are your legs ready?
Aerodynamics or lightness alone don't win races: what matters is speed. To achieve this speed it is necessary to create an uncompromising combination of aerodynamics, lightness, stiffness and shock absorption. Thanks to complex simulations using real data, our Ride Science Team verified that the Tarmac SL8 is the fastest road bike on any course: - 16.6 seconds on 40km flat, 128 seconds faster on the Milan course -San Remo, 20 seconds faster on the Tourmalet climb.
AERODYNAMICS: We use aerodynamics where it's needed most, and in the process we've created our fastest road bike ever - yes, more aero even than the Venge. The front end has been optimized to get the maximum benefit. The steerer tube is positioned rearward of the front of the frame's head tube to offer much lower aerodynamic drag. Thanks to the new UCI rules, we were able to use the narrowest and most aerodynamic seatpost we have ever made for the SL8, to ensure that turbulent air in the leg area can flow more easily to the rear of the bike.
LIGHTWEIGHT: To create the Tarmac SL8 and make the most aerodynamic bicycle, respecting the minimum weight requirements imposed by the UCI, we were inspired by what we learned with the Aethos. The team built a 685-gram frame that's 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 and lighter than any other World Tour bike*. With a focus on being as light as possible in the downtube, seattube and rear end of the bike, we incorporated the lessons learned into the design of the Aethos. The shapes of the frame respond so efficiently to stresses that it was possible to reduce the thickness of the material, eliminating the superfluous.
*Except for the time Kasper Asgreen rode our 585 gram Aethos frame during a stage in the Tour.
RIDE QUALITY: The Tarmac SL8's stiffness-to-weight ratio is 33% better than the SL7. The Tarmac SL8 sets a new benchmark in handling: it is precise in the most demanding situations and responds immediately and efficiently to pedal inputs. While the areas that ensure power transfer and steering precision are stiffer than ever, the Tarmac SL8 is more comfortable on the saddle, filtering 6% more of the stresses coming from the ground and allowing you to attack the curves with a sensation of unique agility and balance in the world of racing bikes. The new Tarmac SL8 retains the proven geometry of the SL7 model, with the same generous 32mm tire clearance, so you can use more volume coverage when needed.
BEYOND GENDER DIFFERENCES: In reality, there may be many more differences between two male cyclists than between a man and a woman. We design for the individual and our philosophy is simple: Don't create differences where there are none. Every cyclist, man or woman, can take advantage of the advantages of the Tarmac SL8. It's time to go further.
The S-Works Tarmac SL8 features Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 Di2 groupset with power meter, tubeless-ready Roval Rapide CLX II wheels and integrated Roval Rapide cockpit handlebar.
